Elissa Charbonneau, M.D.
Dr. Charbonneau has been an attending physician at NERHP since 1992. She assumed the role of Medical Director in 2001 and is program medical director of the Brain Injury, Orthopedic and Multitrauma, and Spinal Cord Injury programs. Dr. Charbonneau received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Temple University/Moss Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.. She is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Osteopathic Board of Rehabilitation Medicine. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic College of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Locally, she is a member of the Maine Osteopathic Association. Dr. Charbonneau also practices at the Spine Center at OA Centers for Orthopaedics and is on staff at Maine Medical Center, where she serves as Director of the Division of Rehabilitation Medicine.
